FLEX Monthly Newsletters
On the first business day of each month, the FLEX Specialist will send to all FLEX students, host families and liaisons a monthly newsletter highlighting some important topics of the month, such as a reminder to complete the monthly reflection survey, event reminders, and other announcements. Host families and AFS liaisons will be copied onto these newsletters to help remind the students to check their email frequently and complete their survey promptly.

It is important that the FLEX team at AFS-USA have the correct and updated emails of the FLEX students at all times so they can receive these newsletters. If there is anyone who has not received the newsletters, please contact the FLEX Specialist at AFS-USA.
Monthly Surveys and WhatsApp Group
The monthly surveys will be posted on the FLEX WhatsApp Groups which the students will be invited to join at the start of their program. The survey will be posted in WhatsApp on the 20th of each month, and it is mandatory for FLEX students to complete the survey by the last day of the month.
These surveys are a great way for the FLEX staff at AFS-USA to monitor the students’ experiences and sometimes, some highlights will be passed along to our colleagues at the Department of State! The survey aims to check in with the students to see how their month has been going, how they are doing at school, and to share any highlights or concerns. The surveys usually take 10-20 minutes.
